Hi everybody-
I picked up a Mahindra 4110 back during the winter and have used it for setting out round bales of hay, digging post holes, and using the front loader, all with not issue (other than a dead battery one day). I decided to hook it up to my disc mower yesterday to get it ready for hay season, and the mower I have requires one remote.
I plugged in the hose to the port and tried to move the remote lever, and I couldn't. It seems that the lever that controls the remote is connected by a straight bar to another curved bar that is finally connected to the valve body that is in the housing under the seat/above the transmission. It seems like a very convoluted way of move the remote valve, and I can't reach the valve itself because of its positioning.
Has anybody had this happen to them before? Is there any chance that there is a valve lock or detent that is engaged and I can't figure it out? I checked my manual, and it doesn't even mention a hydraulic remote, so it's of no help. All of the other hydraulics (loader and three point hitch) work fine - just can get the remote to move. Any chance that it hasn't been used in forever and the moving portion of the valve is stuck or corroded, preventing movement?
Any help anybody can suggest would be greatly appreciated.
Good luck and take care.
