I have decided that the time has come to mount a toolbox on my 4110. The little built in box under the floormat just isn't big enough.

I have thought about mounting a box on the right hand step, since I don't get on and off that side of the tractor much, due to loader controls. My only concern would be with it catching brush when I am roughing it. It looks to me like a standard toolbox of any size wouldn't work there, but an ammo can might.

I also thought about mounting it between the roll bars near the fuel tank lid, but it would likely cut down on visibility.

Any suggestions?

Here's mine. Old bed rail painted with plastic box from Lowes.

Thanks!

Keith_B,
The right side seemed to be the best spot I could find. Its out of harms way and is inside the wheels. An ammo box should work well. What I like about mine is, its removable and has alot of storage. I've two 3/8" chains, gloves in the bottom and wrenches, 3lb hammer and screw driver in the top tray.

Here's a pic of the tool box I put on mine with the small factory one sitting on top for comparison.

I put my ammo can on the verticle metal strip behind the fuel cap, level with horizontal surface. This keeps me from using the reflector bracket to mount the safety sign but I have additional 4-way lites on my canopy frame to take it's place. I mounted the box to the left side of center so I would still have a reasonable view of my implement while turned in the seat and operating the 3ph. The box makes a handy place to rest a 5 gal fuel can while filling too. I can reach the box easily from the seat and of course while standing at the 3ph. I keep a short crowbar, adjustable wrench, pliers, dikes, screwdrivers, pins, gloves, rags etc. in there and still have room for a couple packs of crackers & my smokes when I'm out a ways from the truck. The rubber seal keeps all nice & dry and the latch is pretty much un-popable no matter what kind of brush I get into. The hinge on the lid to the factory box broke pretty early on, plus that box gets so much dirt & debris in it, I keep some shear bolts and a couple bungee cords in there. I use a metal electrical box under the front of the seat as an ashtray - just a piece of baling wire wrapped around the seat bracket holds it there. Got to figure a good holder for my small water jug now. I used to just bungee it to the ROPS but have knocked it off too many times - last time I ran over it too !!

Seems most of you 3510/4110 owners don't use your right step much - it's not near as easy as the left side for sure but I still manage to get my big a__ thru there quite often. The main thing I have to watch is the joystick hanging in my T-shirt getting off. Getting on isn't that bad.

I've been looking how to mount a tool box on my 4110 also.
It looks like the right side step area maybe the best place since I don't ever use that side to mount or dismount.
I found a nice metal box at one of the local farm supply stores that may work, I'd just have to fab a bracket. I'll have to measure everything up and see if it is possible.
I thought about on the metal support over the top of the fuel tank but could not find a box that would fit the space.

I bought a .30 cal ammo box today at a military surplus booth at a flea market, cost me $5.30. I think I can bolt it right to the right hand step.

I need to paint the box before I mount it. What is the closest match to the red on the 4110? My Mahindra dealer is about an hour away, and I have NAPA, Walmart and a host of other places half that distance.
