I'm trying to determine the weight of my 4110 with ML112 loader and water in the tires.

From the Mahindra book, tractor weighs in right at 4000#. From here I have determined the ML112 is about 1200#. What I'm having difficulty with is the tire water weight. The tires were loaded when I bought the tractor so I really have no idea of how much water is in them. I know water weighs 8.3 lbs. per gallon so that adds up fast.

I'm estimating total weight is at least 6000#. How close am I?

Trying to determine if my current trailer will haul this thing or I need to trade up to something heavier. GWVR on my trailer (22', flatbed, car / equipment hauler) is 7000# with 3500# axles and only one of them being a brake axle. Plus it uses a 2" ball where the new model from same manufacturer uses a 2 5/16" and both axles are brake axles.

I'm thinking for safety sake, I need a heavier trailer. Thoughts?

Thanks!

My rear tires are filled to approx 2/3 full and have right at 55 gal. in each one. I have water/methanol so it's just ever so slightly lighter than straight water but not much. You'll need a 20' deck on your trailer if you have flip-up ramps on the back and haul with a rotary cutter on back. My trailer was a 14k with a Bulldog 2 5/16" coupler and brakes on both axles - I wouldn't have wanted any less of a trailer with that weight back there. The 20' deck will allow you to keep your loader on and a boxblade on back and have a little fudge room to find your tongue weight sweet spot. I've hauled mine several thousand miles.

I think the complete loader - including hoses, braces, QA adapter and a 6' bucket would be closer to 1400 or 1500 lbs. So you figure the 4000 on the tractor, let's say 1400 on the loader, approx 880 in ballast and whatever on the back - you need something back there when the loader is on - I keep my med duty boxblade on when not using anything else. I think it's around 600 lbs. I have a steel canopy on my ROPS which is at least 100 lbs. maybe a little more. Add my little add-on toolbox and a tank of fuel and you're right at 7000 lbs. I know my 6' rotary cutter is close to 900 lbs. so that adds a little more if you have it on instead of the boxblade. Chains & binders will add-up too. A 10k trailer would just get you by safely in my opinion a 12k would be better fudge factor. Personally I would prefer brakes on both axles.

Thanks skipmarcy, your thoughts are about the same as mine. I have started looking for a 12 - 14k trailer.
