419 FEL on a JD790

It is an extra line item that most dealers will assume you want. You can get it with or without though. I don't think it was too expensive.

I got on the John Deere site and under attachments I found the 419 loader. There it states the front end guard is in the basic 419 package. That sounds to me like it comes with the loader at no extra charge. Anyone agree? The dealer acted like I was asking for something extra.

Could be. I know with my 430 it was an extra deal. Not sure why it would be different. Could be something they changed this year too.

Harley, I got my 790 last October, when I asked about the guard for the loader my dealer told me it came with the loader to protect the front end of the tractor. He was right by the way, glad I have it /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Seriously though, he did make it sound like it came with the loader and I was not paying any extra to get it.

Harley, you'll love the 790 and 419 FEL. I've used mine for all kinds of jobs. You might want to consider getting a toothbar for the FEL if you plan to do any digging with it. Carver Equipment can fix you right up with one.

I woke up very early this morning in anticipation of the new arrival. Too muddy to do anything but move some rock in my driveway. I will have to check on that toothbar. I have heard they make digging much easier. Thanks.
