Anyone on here ever rebuilt a hydraulic cylinder on the 419 loader? I'm having trouble getting the head driven back far enough to insert the ring compressor. The head drives in just far enough to hide the keeper ring slot.
The "head" where the rod comes out making the transition between the rod and the cylinder tube. It doesn't unscrew. It has a keeper ring on the outside, once removed you drive the head into the tube and place a plastic ring in a slot that compresses the keeper ring on the head inside the tube as you pull the guts out.Need some interpretation to figure out what "head", "ring compressor" and "keeper ring slot" means.
