42 snowthrower restoration

I purhased a 42 snowthrower in maine off of craigslist. It was in pretty rough shape but i saw through that and picked it up for 100$. My dad and i immediately got to work sanding, sand blasting, and grinding the rust off of it. We also straightened the auger because it was somewhat bent. We painted everything and got it looking like new.

Restoration looks great. Keep that blower. Had a 42" snowblower for years on my lx 186. Loved it! Now I got a 44" snowthrower on a x360, the only thing that I like is the Hydraulic lift. I'll take the single stage over the 2 stage any day. Do you think the single stage 42" would adapt and mount to the x360?

To avoid some confusion, the single is the thrower and the two stage is the blower.

For the Price and the Nice Job you guys did, and as long it will last you 5 or more Seasons. It's well worth it so enjoy your new Toy :thumbsup:

The 42 is a great match for the 3X5 machines.....I have a 42 that I used on a 335 and now a 355 and it's just the right size. Very durable and dependable snow device. Don't understand why Deere stopped making them....
