Here are a couple of pictures as promised. This one has the boss lounging on his throne. Seriously, that is my
26 month old tractor crazy son, Joshua. The first word he could pronounce well was TRACTOR /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif.

Nailerguy,

That is one nice looking rig. Based on the price you sure got yourself a good deal. Be safe with the little one around. Make sure you know where he is all the time. I guess I don't have to tell you that, but if he loves tractors he will come from nowhere before you know it. One other guy mentioned a pretty good rule for kids. He taught them the they could only come by the tractor when he raised his hand and waved tow fingers in the air. That was policy and the kids got to know it. That way he knew where they were before they could come running up.

I envy you, that is a nice rig.

Thanks guys for the kind words. Murph, thanks for the suggestion on training children to see a clear signal from the tractor operator before they approach. Its an excellent idea and one that I will put to use.

The Tractor has a 12 X 4 syncro with a high / low splitter. After all the fancy terms, its basically a syncronized 3 speed forward, 1 reverse with 4 ranges. Definitely not as nice as a hydro or a power shuttle, But I grew up with manual transmissions and it does'nt bother me to shift. For that matter I prefer manual transmissions to automatics in all of my personal vehicles as well!

As soon as the seat comes in, I will post some more pictures in case there is anyone else out there who is interested in making a similar setup.

That is one nice looking rig! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I notice a very slight hump in the floor of the cab, is that the low profile model with the HiVis hood? I'm sure you will get a lot of work out of that beast! Congratulations.

Hey Stonewall, Sounds like you know your tractors. It is indeed the low profile cab and high vis hood. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

You can really see what you are doing with the FEL over the low hood and I tend to forget about the slight hump in the floor because it is so low./forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Even when entering or exiting the cab, it does'nt get in the way at all.

The low profile cab is 96" high with 16.9 X 30 R1 tires, but mine is 93" due to the 16.9 X 24's. It will actually fit into my garage as the doors are 96" high (I measured them to be sure), but I have'nt tried it though as I'm a little afraid of breaking the concrete (tractor and loader weigh approximately 9300lbs.)!/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I have lots of work waiting for some drier weather. It has been raining or snowing here every 2nd or 3rd day since late December and the ground is terribly muddy./forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh well, it has to dry out sometime and then, well, LET THE FUN BEGIN !/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
