I am going to get my Mini Hoe out this weekend to help my neighbor did a trench for his septic clean out line.(new installation) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I have NOT used the mini hoe yet. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Can some one tell me how to connect the hydraulics lines. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Does the line that goes to the locking mechanism for the quick attach have to me removed and reattached to the hoe in some way?/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Or do the lines that control tilt on the other implements have to be removed and reattached to the hoe? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Or what? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Yes, the lines that control the locking pins need to be disconnected and attached to the mini hoe. This controls the curl.

You have to shut off the tractor first to do this.

I think MossRoad's site has a video of it? It is not the mini hoe, (Power angle), but the principle is the same...

Power angle hookup, (Same as mini hoe)

Thank You Both! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I thought that maybe if I disconnected the tilt function of the joystick I woud then be able to use the tilt function of the valve on the joystick to control the curl of the bucket.
But then I coudn't figure out if I would be able to get the bucket to the ground without the tilt function. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
My mind sometimes tries things out so I don't have to fix the things I would break if I tried it out in reality. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Thanks for your help and thanks for the video.

Before I put a diverter valve so I could control the hoe with the joystick, I found that it was important to hook the hydraulic lines so that the hoe curled toward you when you pulled the aux pto lever toward you. It's easy to switch the lines if you get it the other way first.

The digging is done with the curl. Put the bucket hard on the ground and curl it toward you. You'll be amazed at the power.

Does anyone know if you can get larger bucket sizes? I think the standard is 9" but for digging holes for plants and trees, I would prefere a 12".

If you can weld, Metkit has several bucket sizes. They will ship the smaller pieces, and you buy the rest locally to save on shipping. I have built several buckets.

Yes, power-trac doesn't recomend the larger 12 inch bucket but they will sell you one.

I would still want the 9" for popping out rocks and working in tough /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif dirt. The minihoe looks like an awsome attachment. I have so many uses for it, the list keeps adding up!
