Case 310
First the background. I have a 2000 4300 HST with a 420 loader on it, about 3800 hours on it that I purchased used about 1 1/2 years ago. I recently changed the hydraulic fluid and filters and found some small metal particles in the suction screen, about a half teaspoon at most and pretty small. It didn't seem like enough to get overly concerned about considering the number of hours on the tractor.

Now the question. Should I be able to raise the rear blade while operating the front bucket at the same time?

When I plow snow, I often use the bucket and the rear blade at the same time. When I get to where I' piling snow, I raise and dump the bucket while simultaneously raising the rear blade. I've noticed since changing hydraulic fluid, the blade won't start raising until I quit operating the bucket. Problem is, it's been a year since I've plowed snow and I'm not really sure if it's acting abnormal or if it's my memory that's abnormal. I'm betting on memory, but thought you guys could straighten me out.

I believe it is acting normal.. think you are good to go.. and just have to put up with the inconvenience. It is a priority thing, I'm sure. Others will make a correction if no right.

:welcome: to TBN

Have two grand kids in college at EWU in Cheney. That nearby?

Hi. Welcome.

As beenthere stated. Sounds normal. Operating two hydraulic implements at the same time requires a lot of oil flow. Your hyd pump cannot meet the demand so goes to the implement with the largest demand first.

Thanks for the replies. I'm much happier thinking (make that knowing) there's something wrong with my memory than with my tractor.

I'm just outside of Spangle, about 15 miles from Cheney. Son went there many years ago, it's a good school.

Remember going through Spangle many times while working with businesses in Pullman.. on way from airport in Spokane.

This past May, visited the grand kids in Cheney and they took us to a burger place in Spokane.. awesome out-of-the-way spot and called Wisconsin Burger

Maybe if you go, you would want to miss hanging out in the Packers room, but they make a very good burger and serve some great beer. Just can't serve the famous Spotted Cow but do show a SC beer box on the top of a cabinet. Sorry for the side chatter.
Wish the best for Russel Wilson and the Seahawks until they meet the Packers again. He was a great QB for the WI Badgers back in the day.

If you like your 4300 as much as I do, you're in for a good time.

Beenthere,
Yep, I really like the 4300. The ancient (1950s) Case that I had for the last 20 years was great to have and I got a lot of work out of it, but the 4300 is soooo much better. I bought it with a lot of hours on it and paid at least $2k too much, but I'm really glad I did. Of course, it hasn't broken yet. Ask me how I feel after it's broken.

Wisconsin Burger looks great! The funny thing is we've been driving within a block of it twice a week for the last several weeks on the way to wife's physical therapy and never knew it was there. We love places like that and will be there next week. Thanks for the tip!

Once again, thanks to all for the replies on the tractor.

Just curious, how exactly do you do this since both the loader joystick and rockshaft control are on the right hand side?
