4300 VS plow

Has any one pulled a 2-14 plow with a 4300? I have a 1-14 that I used behind a 755 and 855, that was a good match. the 4300 is 1000lbs heaver, about the same weight as the old fords, except I have FWA. I think it should handle it?

I have a Ford 1910 4WD and I can pull 2-14s and you have more horses. However, make sure plow will specifically fit your tractor so that the right rear tire will ride in the furrow and the plow will cut the 28" to the left. A used 2-14 Ferguson plow wouldn't fit my geometry but a used 2-14 JD did.

I used a freinds dearborn 2-14, or atleast tryed to hook up. I could not get enough adjustment out of it. I about got the first shear where i wanted it but noticed the left side of the plow frame was agaist the left 3 point arm, If it was my plow I could fix it with a smoke wrench. Did not think he would like that. Most plows are adjustable, the bott pins can be moved over to acount for wider or narrower rear tire width. 2-14's are not easly found in my area, I will have better luck finding a 2-16. I just can't bring myself to buy a new $600 plow when the old ones sell for $100 at auction's. Thanks for the insight!
