Rockyridge, MOPAR, you guys are right, this machine is awesome! They made delivery yesterday evening during all of the storms but I was still able to do some work (play). I dug up a small elm tree then used the 4 n 1 to pick up and haul to brush pile. I dug out an old hedge log that has been half buried for 30 years that I have tried over the years to move with my 850 and couldn't even budge it. It took me a while but that was from my inexperience with a FEL. I dug out a small stump with the BH like it wasn't even there but I have a lot of work ahead of me learning the controls I felt like I had two left hands, but hopefully that will come with practice.

Just received my new 4310 as well. New to compact tractors. New to this forum too. We've been mowing about 15 acres with a Craftsman 22.5hp with a 50-inch. Took about 5 hours. I now have this JD with a Land Pride 72-inch finish mower, and it took me 2 hours. Also purchased a Land Pride 60-inch bush hog and they threw in a slightly used Land Pride 5-foot rear blade. All for about 18,500. I thought that was pretty good. If not, don't tell me. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Any thoughts on how much a backhoe should cost me?

Thanks.

Sorry -- I neglected to say it's a 4310 MFWD with mid-PTO. I love this thing. Very comfortable and handles really well. Cleaned-up my driveway with no effort, and pulls and drives both the finish mower and bush hog very easily.

~$5000 for the 47 and ~$7000 for the 48.

I can't say enough how awesome they mount. The attach/detach is perfect, but even better, is the mount when on.

Congrats JMAC
I know what you mean about working in the storms and rain. We have been 1 good day to 5 wet ones here in NY. That hasn't stopped me much from working (playing) /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif on my new 4310. They are a blast. Your right about the BH controls. I'm sure it will become second nature eventually. Enjoy, and get some pics up.
