I have the rear JD work lights on my 4310. The wires to connect these were at the base of the rops. The wires were purple if I recall. I have ordered the brush guards to mount the JD front light kit. Might get my own lights. Is there also wiring in place for these lights or do they wire in with the rear lights somehow? A Y pigtail that might provide two connectors? One for the rear light and the other for the front light. I have searched and have not seen this discussed. If they would wire into the same circuit as the rear lights then the front aux lights would work at the same time the rear lights do.

Wish there were separate factory dash toggle switches for aux front and rear lights so you could work them independant of the main lights. I know one could wire this as they like but it would make for a nice factory look.

Craig, I had both sets of lights on my 4400. I also thought about wiring both the front and rear set of lights together to run of the main switch. I'm glad I didn't. In the Winter it all works fine but in the summer I think you will find you can't really use the ROPS mounted forward facing lights due to the bugs. I wired the front lights separately and was seldom able to use them due to the "fog" of bugs that end up in your face with those lights. The lights are just too close to the operator.

I can understand about the bugs. My rear lights provide that problem. I was just wondering if you bought the front light kit from Deere where they wired in? I assume there is a planned connection point as the rear kit had one. I planned to wire them that way and just use lights that have switches in them to turn them on and off as needed.

Interesting side note. The JD bracket that holds my rear lights have a sticker that says speaker on it.

It doesn't mean audio speaker. J.W. Speaker Corp. is a large manufacturer and supplier of lights to many OEM equipment makers. They are probably the supplier to JD of the lights and brackets. The label is probably theirs. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I had the front and rear light kits (with brush guards) installed by the dealer when I purchased my 4310 new. The dealer installed two toggle switches on the panel under the steering wheel... 1 switch for each set of lights! It works great... there will be times you will want to only use the front or rear not both (especially if you have a BH)!
By the way... dealer made the wiring harness and ran same from the switches to the lights.
