The hole on my lift arm pin (JD part # M136549) broke where the quick lock pin goes. The lift arm pin seams stuck in there very tight and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and how they removed and replaced the pin.

Thanks

I would try a punch to get it out if you have not already tried. Then, if that doesn't work, drill it out.

I believe that part has a tapered fit into the lift arm. The easiest would be to remove the lift arm and push the broken pin out with a hydraulic press. The lift arm shouldn't be too hard to remove as it's a splined connection. You just remove the bolt and the lift arm should slide off.

Is this on the 3PH or loader? If on the loader what model is the loader?
I don't see it on the 3PH parts breakdown...

It is the pin on the lift arm for the 3PH.

The hole broke...?? I don't see that in the pics added.. still a bit confused and am interested as I have the 4300.

But appears the pin can be removed from the lift arm by removing the nut. Then a new pin (#M136549) will solve the problem ?? or am I missing something?

It is the right lift arm pin on the 2nd picture. Its the hole on the pin that the quick lock pin goes into in order to hold the side link. The hole broke so the pin wont hold the link. I need to replace the pin but the the pin is stuck and jammed in there. I noticed on some pictures online and as pmsmechanic sated above that the bolt is tapered. I am assuming that since the bolt is tapered the hole is as well and an aftermarket pin would be out of the question?

Do as pmsmechanic suggests. And why not replace with a pin from Deere.. about $15.

Why even think "aftermarket" ??

I agree....I have bought those pins from JD. Pound the old one out, after taking the nut off.

The only reason I was thinking aftermarket is because of the part is not in stock at my local JD dealer. it will take the dealer 4-5 days to get the pin as well as ordering it online unless i pay for quick shipping which will cost more than the part.
