4310,My battery leaked(twice) What kind of Optima?

Having problems with my 4310 John Deere Strongbox battery again. First time, it leaked and they replaced it with a new one and new oil cooler. Now the new battery leaked a little yesterday. I've heard these batteries aren't any good and to get a SEALED OPTIMA BATTERY. Does anybody know what model no. battery? Any help appreciated.

Thanks, I'll look the Optima up tommorrow. I may have my dealer take another look at everything since my warranty ends Dec. 31. just incase. But this time it didn't leak as bad as the first. I can't belieive it happened twice. Just bad designed batteries I guess.

I actually think the Strongbox batteries are a good battery. It is very possible they are being overfilled. If you notice in your manual, they spell out the proper fill level with the usual dire warnings about overfilling. I think my problems started after i 'fixed' a low water level in mine.

That said; nothing beats an Optima. They are 'bombproof' and really handle deep discharges well. If you are gonna put extra lights and such, it is hard not to justify an Optima.
