That's close to what I paid for pretty much the same setup, except I got a MX5 rotary cutter instead of the grooming mower. I didn't think I got a great deal, but I really liked the dealer and I wanted to buy locally.

wkrpig,

Which part of the country are you in? Did your price include sales tax and/or delivery?

According to the JD product configurator and the wisdom of people on this board, the list price for your machine is as follows:

4310 with Options Listed: $21984.00
430 Loader with Options Listed: $3876.00

You should be able to get 15% to 25% off list on the tractor but 25% may be hard as it is near dealer cost. On my first quote, I got 15% off list the dealer without haggling. This should put the cost around $16500 to $18700.

You should be able to get 15% off list on the attachments. This will put you at $3300 for the loader.

The total for tractor and loader should be in the range of $19800 to $22000.

The JD product configurator did not have prices for the Box Blade or Finish Mower. You will need to add these to the prices. I'm not familiar with the pricing on these JD attachments. I would imagine it would fall in the $2000 to $3000 range. This would put your tractor package in the $21800 to $25000 range.

JD is also offering a $400 implement discount and a $600 tractor discount on the 4310 beyond the dealer discount. This should bring your total down to the $20800 to $24000 range.

The only other question I have is about the following options:
* Electric Diverter for 3rd/4th SCV Kit ($1100 list)
* Top & Tilt Kit ($750 list)
* Rear Work Light ($38 list)
* 55A Alternator ($199 list)
* Light Brush Guard Kit ($38 list)
I included these in the prices above but they were listed as field conversion kits so I am not sure if these prices include installation by the dealer. This would add some more to it.

The Top & Tilt adds about $1850 to the list price ... expensive option. A good place to save some cash if you don't need it that badly? Also, why do you need a 55A alternator? Do you plan on putting a cab on in the future? You should not need this 55A alternator for the rear work light alone.

With the loader, you should really think about the Forward Lighting Kit (2 lights) for only $50 list. You should also think about the telescoping draft links ($210) or the ball/claw draft arm kit ($350). Both the Kubota Grand L30 Series and the NH TCXXD Series come standard with the telescoping draft links and their TBN owners seem to speak highly of this feature.

 Not here in Ma. Best I could get was 8% and the pleasure of paying sales tax also.

Did they wear a ski mask while charging you that? /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

The extra money does not matter as long as you are happy with your tractor, dealer, their service and you can afford the little extra.

Just curiously, which part of Mass are you in and which dealer was it?

I did not buy it at that price. I shopped at Padula and Rosencrantz's in NH.

Where did you find information about the $600 discount on the 4310. I tried to buy a 4310 Thursday and we are $900 apart. This $600 would go a long way in resolving this.

Thanks

frankv, Hey another Home Theater buff! Did you get a better price from Rozencrantz I got 8% from them and from Padula. The best price I got in MA was from 1A in Wrentham.

Stvman,

Yep stereo and home theater geek in the Winter. My sights tend to lean outside in the warmer weather though.

Same from both, 8%. Felt like Lance at Rosencrantz's would have budged a little more if I pushed it, but not enough to make it worth the effort.

But if I was willing to get it shipped I had a price of $18.6k for the 4310/430/4wd/hydro from Florida. Freight about $600 and no sales tax.

I know I have a LOT more $ setting in the home theatre than on the tractor ! I'd actually be embarassed to admit what I've spent on cables alone, but then I could till and mow by hand before I could ever give up my new system /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
