Hi all, just got back from the dealer. Price seemed a little... High. Not sure:

4310 Mid SCV, Rear SCV & Mid PTO R3 tire $18,900
72" mower $2,900
300cx Loader $3,675
LX5 Rotary Cutter $825
Deere Discount ($900)

Also, the dealer said R4's (what I wanted per recommendations from TBN) were incompatible with the 72" MMM. And also that the only reason to get power beyond was for the back hoe. (He quoted me $6,400 for a 47.)

Comments?

I bet the 72" and R4s would be rubbing...

Is that an eHydro or eReverser?

i would double check price on an MX5, just to know the diff, the LX is awefully light! The problem is when you swing wide for a turn and smack a post or something, you coud really crumple the sideskirts.

I paid 23K for the 4310 MFWD. HST, with 430 and 47 hoe. The Hoe was 5K but that was almost 2 years ago!

List for the 4310 4WD eReversr with R3, Mid & Rear SCV and Mid PTO on the Deere web site is $19645. Figgerin' 9% off list (average for my area) that would be $17876....so, IMHO, $18900 would be a bit high.

There is an R3 wheel/tire combo that has a higher list on the web site, tho. You might wanna check it out

Maybe something has changed but I have a 4310 bought last July with the 72" MMM and R4 tires. Absolutely no compatibility problems with this tire and mower combination on my tractor.

From a reply I made earlier this week to another prospective Deere buyer:

My eHydro with mid scv, rear scv, mid pto, R4's was $15.4k
430 loader, 72" bucket, bucket level indicator, rear tires loaded w/ RimGuard $3.3k
John Deere 72" mid mount mower $2.4k

Total before taxes was $21.1k
The R4's DO NOT hit the 72" deck, I've had lots of practice trying.
I use my PowerBeyond to run a 3 point log splitter and highly recommend you get it at the time of purchase. You can install it yourself later but you have to pull the seat off (it's a hassle) and you'll need some BIG metric offset wrenches for the hydraulic fittings. However, your dealer sounds like he'll charge for the install so...
I think you need a different dealer, IMO.

I should NOT have commented about the tires, except to say that I have heard of incompatibilities.

Are the R4s 6 ply or 4 ply? That seems like a big factor....

Sounds way high to me! Also I was trying to get the larger R4s for my 4310 and I had the dealer double check with JD on compatibility with a 72 MMM and they told me that they would work without a problem. I ended up with the smaller R4s because they couldn't locate any of the larger ones. Sounds to me like the dealer wants to sell what he has in stock.

I paid 23K before taxes for 4310 Ehydro, 300x loader, 72in front blade, 72in MMM and loaded R4s.

Hi Mike, it's an eHydro.

I think your price makes me feel better about the price I just got from my dealer:

4310 ePowerreverser 4wd : 13995
430 loader : 3269
-----------
Total: 17264

I got the $750.00 off on my 4310, which brought it and the 300cx loader in at $17,500 out the door. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
However, it was only about $17,000 more than my wife wanted me to pay for a tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
