I`m looking to upgrade from a 4310 w/loader to a 3720 w/300cx loader. What can I hope for on trade in value of this unit against a new 3720? My 4310 has 500 hours and is in spotless condition.4310 is E hydro and has never given any problems. Thanks

I would think you should get at least 13 or 14k for it. I sold one earlier this year with about 900 hours in fair shape for around 12k.

A 4310 is a sweet machine, and should hold a real good resale value, especially if it's ehydro with the 430 loader that you do have on it... do you have extra SCV's, brush guard, lights, or mid-mount option, etc? Any upgrades are in your favor--moreso privately...

At any rate, it would be worth it to take an extra week or two and sell it privately. The cash in hand will go a lot farther at the dealership, especially toward the end of month/quarter.

Good luck with the new purchase

How much of an upgrade do you really really need. I have the 3320 - basicly the same as your 4310 and all I know is the next upgrade will be at least a 4X20 series. What are you missing in that 4310?? My 3320 handles a ton!

I`m located in Western Wisconsin. The reason for trading is we have hilly terrain and the tractor is at times a bit underpowered for the steep terrain. With the Loadmatch feature on it it hasn`t been a problem ,but you can tell when it is taking effect. This tractor (as well as most new ones) has tremendous hydralic power. That`s never been an issue.

The reason for wanting a 3000 series vs a 4000 is with a 4000 the size goes up considerably and would compromise the mowing ability arond trees and tight areas. The physical size of the 4310 is right.Ten or so more hp would make it close to perfect, and the 300cx loader looks to be pretty well built also.Staying current model wise appeals to me also.

The turning radius is not very much smaller with the 3X20 vs the 4X20 and in fact with a 72" MMM on a 4X20 you may not notice much difference at all. The length difference will be the factor to look at. Check into it. The larger size will give some stability on those hills of yours as well and of couse the HP and turbo 4cyl will all benefit you in spades. Just a suggestion to compare. I love the 3X20 and the 3720 is the champ - Jcm John loves HIS and he knows his CUT Deere's. Price wise you get close to a 4X20 with a 3720 speced out. Have fun.

As was said, selling outright is by far the best way to go if you can. Get on http://www.machinefinder.com and check prices to get a feel for what is right. No doubt, your machine has tremendous 'curb apeal'. If you can trailor it, try hauling it around a bit on Saturdays to the farm store or something with a For Sale sign. Chances are you can sell it for about what you paid for it.
