I have about 30 hours on my 4320 and as the nights grow shorter I find I'm working after dark. Has anyone installed the auxiliary forward lighting and/or the rear work light? I ordered them from the dealer and they should be in soon. I did order the brushguard bracket to mount them. Did I need it? Or is there a better/cheaper way.?

Also I picked up one of the black metal toolboxes and mounting bracket from my dealer. Where is the best place to mount it on a 4000 series tractor? It seems like there won't be enough room if I mount it on the brush guard that came with my 400X FEL.

I love the tractor overall, but I saw in another thread that the 4320 is noisy. I agree, Plus it stinks and smokes alot at startup!

Do you often fold your ROPS? If not, you may want to consider mounting the forward lights on top of the ROPS instead of near the hazard lights. Putting them near the hazard lights will bring the swarm of bugs right around your head. You will have the bug swarm problem regardless but it may be better if they are further away from your head torwards the top of the ROPS. Also, the additional height may improve the lighting and create less shadowing while using the FEL.

Thanks for the advice. I did not consider the bug problem at all. I unfortunately have to fold my ROPS everytime I put the tractor away as it is stored in my garage. Does anyone have experience with the toolbox being mounted on the hood guard?

If you ordered the $38 rear work light kit, you will be very happy. It is well made and installs in 5 minutes. It comes with the necessary wiring harness already attached. Just bolt it to the fender and plug in the wiring harness plug. The light will pivot up and down. There is a star washer that allows you to tighten it enough to stay put or to be pivoted by grabbing it and moving it to the new position. On my 790, it mounted on the fender next to the turn signal/flasher. The housing is covered with a rubberized shield. Very nice and well worth the $38 (each).

I would like to know as well if anyone has had any experience with mounting a toolbox on this series. I have a 4320 w/Cab and so far have not seen a good place to mount one. This is one of my biggest complaints with JD about this machine. $30k and not a single place to put a wrench of any kind. Go figure.:(

Great News! I got my toolbox mounted on my 4320 today! I bolted it directly to the front of the hood guard. Plenty of room to spare. I even bought an "official" leaping deer sticker from the dealer to put on the front of the toolbox. ($3.68 for a sticker!) Now I'm waiting for my fr and rr lights.

Do you have an FEL? I ask because I have had my grill guard right up against stuff (dirt piles, trucks while loading, etc.) and I wouldn't want a tool box in the way.
