JD 4320 Cab, Kubota RTV
I guess it's time I stop posting in the general "Buying/Pricing/Comparison" forum and move over here and join the ranks of JD owners. Today (actually, it will become official tomorrow) I ordered a ....

JD 4320, factory cab, hydro, 400x loader, HD bucket w/ cutting edge, Horst grapple bucket, 3rd SVC, 3rd function loader lines, rear work lights, loaded tires, LandPride DH1572 disc. etc.

I'll be using it to clean up a 90-acre woodlot after a timber harvest, put in some wildlife food plots (~5 acres), firewood, blow snow, maintain a small orchard, etc.. I bought the cab so I would have a place to sleep when I end up in the proverbial "doghouse", which might happen any minute.

I hope to see the tractor in about a week. (It's on the lot, but the loader isn't around yet.) I hope I'm still as happy about this two years from now as I am today.

Thanks to all who helped in my decision.

Way cool - let us see your grapple setup and the 3rd SCV. I am thinking of setting up my 4720 to use the grapple off my 5525. I am not exactly sure why I want to do it, but it could be handy at times.

Congrats. You will love it. Did you take a look at the 400CX loader? I little beefier than the 400X. It's nice your dealer had one on the yard. I had to wait a while on mine. You will be happy with this one for the next 20 + years.

Did you check out the 400cx Loader? There wasn't a big difference in cost between the 400x and the 400cx. I would think when you are spending this kind of money, whats a few extra hundred dollars? It is a much beefier loader as said before, and it is way better for doing any kind of pallet fork work.. I really think it would be hard not to get the self leveling feature, and extra lift capacity...

No, I did not consider the 400CX ... because I did not know such a thing existed. The "Build your own" 4320 on the JD website did not offer it as an option ... and the dealer never mentioned.

I posted another question about this under a separate topic.

Thanks for the advice!!!

How is the 3rd valve on the FEL controlled? I have the thumb controll on my 5525, was thinking of adding one to my 4720 and wonder how that works.

When do you take delivery?
