Hi. I have both the forward and rear light kits installed on my 4320. Both sets of lights come on when I turn my headlight switch to headlights only. I want to be able to turn them on/off independantly. I picked up 2 MIA 10204 light switches and I'm trying to figure out how to hook them up properly. I am going to try it without a relay.
Here's the set-up:
On the left side there is 1 black and 1 purple wire coming from the tractor at the bottom of the ROPS. The wiring harness for the lights splits those 2 wires into 4 wires. (A black and a purple for each of the front and the rear lights.) The right side has the same thing: 1 purple and 1 black into 2 purples and 2 blacks for the right side front and rear lights.
My problem is I can't figure out where in the circuit I can install the switches. Any help would be appreciated. I'm tired of being blinded when I back-up!

Chris,
You could find the wires that go to just the rear lights and install the switch on them, BUT, this will still not give you independent control if the lights because the headlight switch will still have to ON to operate the rear lights.

Your best solution is the run a 20amp circuit (10 or 12 gauge wire) from the battery to your 2 new switches, then wire the front lights to one switch, and the rears to another. This way, you can have complete independent control of all your lights, only turn on the ones you need. Your alternator may also appreciate not having 6 lights on at once also!

Well I hope this may help you one your installation of your rear work lights and forwarding lights. This is my set up aand it work as easy as pie.I used a 8 ga. wire form the battery to a fuse box under my console on JD 3120 which has the same wireing as your 4320.I added 3 new switches in which the cut outs are are marked on the bottom of console you will have to flip over to see.once you put in that fuse box it a matter of hooking up power to the switches.Any questions just ask. Here are some pictures
