Does anyone know if the loader SCV on a john deere tractor can be rebuilt? The valve has an internal leak in the spool that controls the dump and roll of my bucket.
Spool valves with internal leaks can't be repaired because spool & housing are a machined close tolerance fit IE complete valve assembly must be replaced. If leaking problem is caused by faulty check or relief valve then those can be replaced. Have you checked bucket cylinders to be sure their piston packings haven't failed?
Yes I know it's not the cylinders leaking because I can unhook the quick connects and it stops leaking. It's leaking down so bad that the bucket will be almost full dump in about 2-3 minutes
Thanks for the comments. I did some more tests today. I found O ring and seal fragments stuck in the male coupler of one of the hose that controls the bucket curl. After finding the fragments Im pretty sure it's a cylinder issue and not the SCV. I ordered rebuild kits for the cylinders.
