4330 hydro fluid leak

Hi all I am new here looking for a little help, My issue is I have fluid leaking, drips of trans fluid from the sleeve from trans to front axle, tube is right under engine oil pan tractor is 4x4 tube has 2 screws that allow it to telescope with splined 2 couplers and splined shaft in between inside. Thanks for any help:confused.:

Sounds like the seal (060 in attached).

Not only flubbed the attachments, but I think I had the wrong (axle) end. Hang on a sec....

I think you are correct, looks like you have to split the tractor?

Just from looking at the parts pics, it seems that the worst case would be having to drop the front axle, but maybe the split tube would allow avoiding this? Both my tractor and it's service manual are up in TN, so I won't be able to determine any more until this weekend when I'm there. I bet your local dealer would be happy to scare you with a price quote to replace the seal;-) That would confirm if a split is needed or not.

Thanks for the welcome. I removed the 2 piece tube and prop shaft to inspect further, that seal is about 8 inches in with a snap ring over it so I am thinking a split is ness. I'm capable of that but the tractor needs to be on the golf course early next for a few days of work. Its a small leak about the size of a silver dollar on the floor overnight, But needs to be fixed. Would sure apreciate any follow up info when you get your manual in front of you. Thank you so much :thumbsup: Dan
