My new tractor, which I've had a blast with for about 2 operating hours, stopped moving shortly after I began using the loader for the first time. (probably a coincidence) The motor runs fine but the tractor won't go. I did actually get it to go about 20 yards but then it stopped again. Please HELP! I've tried every combination of cruise control and the other buttons with no luck. Also, the backhoe drops to the ground after about 30 minutes of being parked. Could this problem be related?

Dave4410,

I'm no expert but I have read other posts that talk about electrical connections (connector) under the floor near the hydro pedals. Apparently these are susceptible to being snagged and coming apart.

I'll go out and check that now. I should add that I'm getting two short and two long flashes on the warning light. Thanks a bunch for your response.

The backhoe bleeding down is normal, keep the transport pins in place when not using it....

I think you need to have your hydro pedals' potentiometers calibrated. It isn't unusual, but the dealer gets to do it.... I think that once its done, it won't recurr.....

Jeff, All the connections appear to be intact.

Mike, Is there a reason why this would happen so soon? I just got the Machine yesterday.

Dave4410,

I had problems right away on my new 4310 as well. In my case the tractor would come to a halt after the forward pedal was pressed all the way to the stop for 6 to 8 seconds. It would flash a short-long-short-short error code one time. If I waited a few seconds I could go again. It behaved fine at anything less than full pedal but would consistently respond the same way at full pedal.

The dealer replaced a "bad" potentiometer and recalibrated the computer. It no longer does it but my top end speed is slower than it was before and I must press the forward pedal about half way through its travel before the tractor starts to move. The reverse pedal needs much less travel before the tractor starts to move and the top speed is faster in reverse (verified by GPS). Hopefully the dealer will be able to fix this problem with an adjustment.

Good luck,

Jeff
