we bought a hardy sprayer and it has a 2 stage 1 way cylinder on it. the problem is that the cylinder will go up fine but only the top stage of the cyl. will come back down using the scv. levers. when you shut the tractor off the lower stage piston will then retract. Do we need to put a 2 way cylinder on it? asked the dealer and he said they were putting a bleed line back to the main housing on the newer tractors having the same problem??? any thoughts out there. You could try putting scv control lever in the float position. Which scv are you plugging cyl in to??
Hi TX Jim, We have 2 scv's and we have plugged it into all four raise/lower ports and get the same results. can not get the second stage on the cylinder to retract without stutting the tractor off and then slightly moving the control lever to open a valve then it goes down normally.
