I'm looking at purchasing an X595 Series Tractor, and do allot of landscape work around our property. It sure would be nice to be able to have a loader for moving the bulk mulch, stone etc around. How useful is the 45 series loader on the X595? The Tractor seems a bit small for a loader attachment to me, but what the heck do I know. Oh, can anyone tell me why the Loader's frame uprights continue upward so high, beyond the top of the tractor itself? I've seen other similar loaders for similar size tractors that don't have the uprights sticking up like this, do they serve a legitimate purpose, or am I just going to get a football in the face one day when some wise **** kicks a field goal between them? Thanks all..

I had a X585 with a 45 loader and traded up to a 2210. The X series machines only have a hydrualic pressure of about 900 psi to run the loader where as it's bigger cousins operate at 1900+ effectively doubling the loader capacity.
In actual use I found the 45 loader to do alot of work. I would run out of steam though when trying to lift a bucket full of dirt(not loamy stuff but clayish red dirt) especially the loader arms. This would probably be true for gravel or sand also. It would be a little aggravating not being able to lift so I would have to back out or dump alittle to get it up- so to speak /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
The goal post arms sticking up I believe is the roll over protection as the X series does not have a ROPS on the tractor. Although I have my doubts whether it would protect me.
The 45 loader is expensive so unless you can find a used one it just may be better to upgrade to a 2210 if you plan on using it for heavy stuff.

DJLX is the poster boy for gravitating up the tractor hill. I'll bet he could have bought a 4310 for all he has into tractor's to get to the 2210. Best to get it right the first time; I wouldn't even consider getting an X with a loader without trying it out on my property to really see what it can do. I would want a 2210 and maybe a 4110 there too, just to keep things in perspective. A fully loaded X is probably going to cost you more than the 2210, have less capacity, and less resale.

Happy hunting!

X595,

I had an X595 with a 45 loader. I found it to be a very nice machine. If you are planning to do very lightweight work such as mulch and potting soil and even some gravel, the loader will do fine. If you have time constraints or want to lift some heavy stuff, forget it. If anything, the X595 tractor would handle a higher capacity loader than the 45. I quickly found out I needed more loader, but the biggest issue I had was that I could not simultaneously use both front loader and a rear attachment, like a box blade. One of them has to be locked out. For my money, the X595 is one of the nicest machines in its size ever made, BUT for loader work it just won't cut the mustard due to its hydraulic limitations. You would be better off with a 2210. Also, the posts that arise from the cross bar are for mounting front work lights; because the X595 does not have a roll bar, they have to put them somewhere, so they had to make a mounting post for the optional worklight kit.

I know this is an old thread, but I would like some answers/advice.

I have owned and used a 670 TLB, 870 TLB, and a 2008, 990 TLB ( same as new 4005)
So I always used a bucket for snow removal. Loved back dragging ( gravel driveway) get snow out of boxed in areas, then load it up and drop elsewhere.
I got injured and well long story short I am limited, so my wife helps all she can.
Although I bought the 990 for many other things, driveway rebuilds etc, its a bit big for my wife to handle around cars etc.
so I selll it and buy a used X475 ( wanted shaft drive, No belts for my wife to deal with, less work. It had no implements. I buy a brandy new JD 47 blower for it and JD installed it. It does blow snow! , BUT... PTO disengages when I go into reverse ( I use a cane on the Forward and reverse the couple times I have tried this, my rt leg is not good, or my back.
The thing blows snow so much I was covered shortly with NO wind. I do not like blowing it twice by just adjusting the chute down, then have to move over. Its like mowing grass twice...... Brings back to a loader....
I kept going bigger in past as more work and needs arose, but wonder if a 45 loader would suffice. I saw the post on the 900 psi pressure.. is there a 'rockshaft" you can increase the pressure some, like on the standard collar shift ( compact utility)tractors? Or am I stuck looking into the new 1 series, which looks physically bigger? I would like to lift 500 pounds in the bucket if possible..just enough to travel, say 7-8 inches thoughts? and Thanks!
PS the blower will rise with 2 people sitting on it I noticed, fat cylinder, but not a big distance
