Hello Everyone, I have , I believe, a 1965 Ford Industrial Tractor 3 cly. Diesel that has a bad universal joint in the driveshaft that runs from the front of the crankshaft to the Hydraulic pump mounted at the front of the tractor. I took the 4 bolts off the crankshaft end and it looks as though you can slide it forward into the splines on the Hyd. pump. I tried this and it may have moved 1/8 inch or so and that was it. It looks like you could slide that driveshaft forward enough into the hyd. pump that the bolted flange end could drop out and then pull the driveshaft completely out. But the driveshaft will not slide forward enough to clear the the pulley on the crank . I figured that I better stop and figure out some sort of a game plan here ! Not sure where to go from here? Any Help would be Appreciated . Thank You, Josey.
