I have a 4500z that was operating one day when it suddenly died. It will run with the emergency/parking brake set, but as soon as you release the brake the engine dies. I checked the function of the brake switch and it's fine (0 ohms when set, infinite when released). I checked the neutral switch as well. I do have the seat switch removed (it broke) and bypassed. The TCM module doesn't light up for the seat switch, so I figured that's where the problem is.

Is there a way I can bypass this seat switch in the engine compartment? The only thing I can figure is the wiring is damaged from the rear of the tractor to the front.

Any other ideas?

It turned out to be fuse #9 in the rear fuse panel, a small 5 amp mini blade fuse labeled "seat switch".
