My catalytic muffler's heat jacket or blanket is wearing out. I hope that white matter is not asbestos! I used a header wrap material to cover the worn areas, but that is hot going to last. Raw Dodge hinted at a no brainer type solution quite a long time back. But I must have not brain. I would like to install a normal muffler that does not cross the hood, but see not readily available parts. The Kubota diesel's manifold to muffler joint seems to be different. Suggestions welcome.
