4510 doesn\'t have eHydro??

I am close to make a choice, and right now its looking like NH TC40DA, but I actually like the matching 4510 very much (and the color much better;), so I wanted to get a competitive bid for that. HOWEVER, it appears it does not offer eHydro?? 4410 does, but that is the smaller frame, and 4610 does but that's bigger and more expensive...

Anyone knows why they dont offer Hydro on 4510????

I don't know why but they don't. I have a 4610 eHydro, what kind of price did you get on the TC40DA and what options?

Re: 4510 doesn\'t have eHydro??

There are just too many models. I bet the direction Deere will go is to reduce the number of models and offer meore features at a reduced overall cort (this has been discussed before)

I am sure the thinking on the 4510 is the "bargain" large frame. If you want the hydro, you get to move up to the 4610. A 4510 eHydro might not make sense, due to the lower hp, it might not handle larger attachments as well, and so wouldn't make sense over tha 4410.

Re: 4510 doesn\'t have eHydro??

I think the reason they do not offer the hydro on the JD4500/JD4510 is because of the net HP with a hydro on the JD4500/4510
A hydro would bring the net horsepower down into the midrange size, thus have a larger size compact with the horsepower equivalent of a midsize compact.
I am sure that is what I read at one time.

Your suggestions on why this is makes a lot of sense, thx.

It raises a general question: how much does hydro reduce the effective pulling power of a tractor? Is there any way of reading that out of the specs?

For billy's question: I have an offer for at TC40DA around 18.5K and offer for a 4610 ehydro around 20.5K - but the 4610 is a bit bigger, so what do you guys think? what to go for?

and let me add another question: while at it, should I go spend even more for 4710??? seems to be only HP increase?

Re: 4510 doesn\'t have eHydro??

If you don't need the smaller frame of the TC40 I would go with the 4610 for a couple of reasons. Both very nice tractors! The John Deere has a better resale value and more horsepower can come in handy. I am not color blind, I have all three major colors and have no complaints with any of the three.

The 4710 is a premium price since its the biggest 4000TEN, and I believe it is the highest Hp HST you can buy. The 4610 is probably a better value. That said, there are a number of attachments the Deere only lists for the 4710 in this series.
