I had the same fuel gauge problem.
Dealer seemed to know this was a common problem and fixed it right away.

Me to on the fuel gauge,need to get it in the shop before warranty runs out.

in the owners manual it mentions about blue or colored smoke coming out when the tractor is first started.if i remember right,it said it was o.k. something about the air or cold air?i dont have the manual handy but ill see if i can find it and post it
