OK, been having off and on problems starting this thing. No start with the ignition some days where I have to cross the solenoid. Other days, it is fine. Yesterday, nothing. No voltage. So I pulled the cables, bought new, ground down the ground connection, put dielectric grease on the connection, and reassembled. Checked the 30A fuse.
My main questions, how do I check the relays? Before I buy a new starter for $202, a $45 relay would be easier to swallow if it's bad. I have a colt meter but even though I have watched countless videos on YouTube, this damned tool escapes me. When I set it to continuity (omega symbol) it gave me multiple numbers depending on the tabs I touched. What contacts should be checked impairs and what number ranges should I see?
Other threads I've searched have helped me troubleshoot it this far so thank you everyone for that.
