455 - FEL, snow blower?

I saw a 455 with a FEL and MMM.. looks good, price not too bad. I think I can live with 300# load capacity (I'm not doing heavy work), but I've never had a tractor before. A friend of mine says JDs are built strong/heavy duty and that a loader like that would not stress it. Is that right?

Also, I really would like to put a snow blower attachment on it. I didn't see that attachment listed for the 455 on the JD web site.. does anyone know of an aftermarket blower that would fit?

I believe that JD makes two snow blower attachment options for the 445/455. a single stage and a two stage. My neighbor has a 455 w/mmm and the single stage blower which is about the best working single stage unit I have seen. He is quite happy with the machine and has plenty of power.

The 455 is very capable for what you describe. As long as you keep your work within those limitations, you'll be suprised how much that machine can accomplish. The 455 is an outstanding mower.
