Oil & Fuel 455 Transmission oil leak

Hi Guys

I am having trouble with the transmission on my 455AWS. The tractor moves and works great but there is an oil leak coming from it that I can not find. The oil does not leak from the transmission when it is running or cutting grass but when parked sitting in the shed. The transaxiel oil was recently changed, but I don't think that is where the oil is coming from. Any suggestions as to what it could be. The leak is on the right side of the transmission looking from the back. I am not sure what it is as all the bolts are tight. I will probably be taking it to the dealer tommorrow. The leak is probably coming from the seals at the point where the actuator rods enter the transaxle on the side you have described. Follow the forward and reverse foot-pedal linkage through their mechanical connection from the foot pedals back to where the actuator rods enter the transaxle on the right side. This transaxle is known to leak from this point after years of normal service. You might consider some type of additive to swell the seals, as a temporary fix. Mine is just starting to weep slightly, and after talking to my dealer (costly$$$), I think it will become a winter project when it needs to be corrected. Craig

Thankyou for your help. I took the 455 to the dealer this morning. They are going to( hopefully) fix the problem. Other then that, the 455 has been great in the short time that I have had it. Take Care Jason B
