Any idea what could be causing the no-start for this diesel engine?
I tried to start the 455 after using a leaf blower to clean off the engine and it engine didn't start. Maybe I dislodged a wire??
I checked the battery and it tested at 12.5 volts.
I have noticed the following:
--the glow plug light does not come on when the key is turned to the on position. I have engaged then disengaged the mower deck blades several times to see if it way a safety shutoff that was engaged.
-- there is a buzzing sound coming from the diesel control module (part AM120740) when the key is "on."
--the battery indicator light on the 'dash' takes a few seconds to illuminate after turning the key to the on position. When it does start to illuminate it is dim and slowly brightens to full intensity. It used to start at full intensity as soon as the key is turned to the on position.
--the solenoid does not engage when the key is turned on.
Is there any troubleshooting that you would recommend or do I need to replace the diesel control module?
Thanks
