2010 JD 3520 Cab / Bobcat E35 Cab excavator
Finally had my 46 bh installed and delivered today. Only problem is the dealer can't find the manual and has ordered a new one. In the meantime I need to remove it to cut my grass. I would love some suggestions and tips on getting it off. I searched the JD website and couldn't find a downloadable manual.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Let's see if this helps:

Park tractor, lower stabilizers, center boom and install lock pin
Move the bucket so it's resting on the ground and the top edge is parallel
Pull the pins from the frame (near the front wheels)
Lower the boom and stabilizers to lower the front of the frame to the ground
Drive the tractor ahead slowly to clear the rear hooks
Turn off the tractor and cycle the backhoe before removing the hydraulics and reconnecting the "loopback hose"

If I've forgotten anything and you get squashed by your own tractor as a result I'll disavow all knowledge of this post! :)

Thanks Jeff!

Sounds pretty straight forward! I will give it a shot saturday. If you got the time can you let me know how to re-attach it? and also any little operating tricks?? Like to get it back on after I get the grass done and start digging!!! Real pain in the butt not having the manual since this is the first bh I have owned. Thank god for this website!

Consider yourself released from liability!!

Thanks again!

Gee, thanks! I was in Ottawa last week (Kanata, actually), I should have shown you first hand how to remove it. I played with mine a bit and it works great - very easy to use and get the hang of (but the seat is a little cramped!). I think I remember using the boom to dig most of a swipe and when it started to struggle I'd use the bucket for the last bit. The backhoe can really throw around the 2520 so be careful and it helps to idle down when you're getting used to it so it will move more slowly.

I've scanned in the manual, if anyone would like me to email them a copy just send me a PM. The total file size is about 4M or so in PDF format.
