Thanks for all of the ideas.. Beenthere's component picture shows what I've looked at... the leaking seal is 19 or possibly 5. When my son the mechanical engineer looked at the JD tech manual there's a lot of tools I don't have, not to mention the expertise......I suppose if we started at the 4 bolts at the axle we might be able to do something but starting from the wheel hub looks like a real can of worms. Like the fella said in another thread you can glue the hood up but it really doesn't increase the performance of the tractor. I'll leave a can under the leak.....until it leaks more or I feel adventuresome right now fixing a seppi sml flail
