I have a 4600 with foam filled tires and a 4 in 1 bucket which allows me to perform land reclamation projects nearly as efficiently as a small dozer. Only problem is I was clearing some small thornapple trees last night and while backing up the steering cylinder rod that connects to the right side ball joint was bent by a small stump that had some stuborn roots. Took the cylinder off and visited local hydraulic repair shop but since the unit is a one piece welded assembly was advised to purchase new. JD wants $350 for this cylinder, has anyone else expeirenced this problem and if so were you able to repair or did you replace?
