I'm new to the tractor world. But I have a problem with my hydrolics when I strat it up they work but soon after nothing, my power steering works fine also! I've read that if I change my filter and screens that could maybe be my problem, I also have no clue where they would be! The tractor worked fine then we moved it from the farm to are new property and this happend! I also think my farther in law over filled with hydraulic fulid trying to fix it! If any one could give me a few pointers or may know where the screen and filter is that would be appreciated !

The filter is in a metal container under the left floor board, on the side of the transmission.

The transmission/hydraulic oil is checked by running the tractor at 1600 RPM for three minutes, shut tractor down and read the dip stick. This gets oil up in the transmission and hydraulics for an accurate read.

Welcome to TBN. The first thing you should probably do is purchase an owner's manual or shop manual for that specific tractor. Find an international dealer near you and ask how much they cost.

But I'd try this place first...
Bates Corp in Bourbon, Indiana. They are an IH exclusive salvage and parts company. I've dealt with them several times in the past. Good folks. If they can't find it for IH, it doesn't exist anymore.

My screen was dirty as can be! Where does my new fluid go and how much should I put in and what kind? I have it completely drained! Is it the plug on the back end of the tractor?

It takes just under 10 gallons of Hy-Tran equivalent fluid. Yes, the plug on the top rear of trans housing.

Sometimes if your power steering works ,but the rest of your hydraulics don't ,your hyd. pump might need rebuilding. I have a ford 1320 that has double pumps, a power steering pump and a separate pump for the rest of the tractor. I've seen lots of tractors that have double pumps. Also , like the other guys said, get yourself a good owners or service manual ,preferably if you're not to familiar with equipment a owners manual. I personally use IT shop manuals . Try going on ebay and searching for a owners manual, it should tell you where your filters are , what the fluid capacity is and everything else you need to know about your tractor.

Priorityvalve stuck.....srmove plug at bottom of filterhousing.......remove spring.....put a drainbucket under tractor .....then start and oil will squert out until valve pops out . shut-off engine.....polish valve until it gose in freely ......reinstall everything .......all hydraulic shoud work now ,.
