4710 vs MX6

My MX6 was delivered today and can not make it work with the JD4710 tractor. Two problems, first appears to be too wide for tractor - sway bars rub one tire and clear the other by 1/4" also have telescoping arms and the clasp rubs on the MX6 braces.

I can widen the tires, which I don't want to do, to fix the tire rubbing but will not help the clasp. The only way I can see this working is to reverse the pins to the inside of the brace on the MX6. Is this possible or should I tell the dealer to come and get it?

I plan to buy an MX 6 for my 110TLB which is about the same physical size as your 4710. All I know is these things have to be fittted for each size tractor according to the salesman that I'm talking to. Your dealer should of told you about this. He can take care of this for you. Let me know how your making out . How much did you pay for it?

Go ahead and turn the pins toward the inside. The MX6 is a good size mower for the 4710 and 110 TLB, but as you found the pins in the outboard positions do not fit. I have seen some people turn just one pin to the inside, but have no personal experience with that.

Bought MX6 with tractor in package deal but I think it was ~1700.00 with front and rear chains.

I turned my pins to the inside and so far it appears to work fine.
