Best choice is AGM to avoid corrosive spillage, cable corrosion, and long lasting. Unfortunately, the best isn't optima any longer. I bought one of these x2power AGMs from batteries plus to replace the new interstate in my 3725 the first week I took it home.
You asked for the best, right? The 60 month replacement warranty is a bonus but doubtful you'll need it. I also have a group 31 x2power AGM in my 1973 Dodge D200 that I transplanted the powertrain from a 1993 Dodge D250 Cummins into. These batteries don't mind sitting which is a bonus since the 73 has been relegated to parade duty and the occasional dump run. (won't be an old man cruiser for a few decades yet, I'm still not 40 years old)
