I really want a CAB version of this tractor, especially after doing some grading work this weekend. I was filthy went I got off the tractor. No rain in about a month here in middle GA. I was envious of the guy down the road on his CAB Kubota. The dealer is saying it may be earlier spring before they see a 4720 with a CAB. With all the work that's piling up, I don't think I can wait until spring. Should I buy the tractor now, and get all my goodies (TNT kit, 3rd rear SCV, loader, pallet forks, etc), or just wait until the CAB version comes out. I only bleed green, so orange and blue is out of the question.

From the info I've seen, it looks very worth the wait! Get with a dealer, and get your order in, so that you can get one first on the list.. Deere will usually ship sold units before stock units, that may get it to you the quickest.

A smart dealer wants to sell you what he has rather than string you along waiting on a new model that might be frought with endless delays in delivery. and you can be tthat if you pull the trigger on a cabless model, that cab ones will appear teo days after you take delivery. At least that is what would happen to me!!!!

But, there is the money, too. Are you sure that the benefit is worth the cost of admission? Ir may well be, but if not, all the discusssion about waiting is moot...

Have fun!

As much time as we put in on the tractors, I don't mind spending an extra 6 or 7K for the cab. As hot and dusty as it is now, I would probably spend more than that. Come on fall and cooler weather.

Hi , if it was me I would buy the tractor now as im sure prices are not gonna come down. Then have the dealer install A curtis cab. My dealer had A 4520 with one that was ordered by A hospital. Im sure its not as nice as the factory one but you always have the option of removing it.

Adios, Mike

Don't forget, he's in Georgia, and without the A/C that is standard in the factory cab, he'd be not only dusty, but HOT with the Curtis cab... I think he's looking for warm weather comfort more than cold...

I know what that's like. I baled hay, alfalfa and and rye, in southern Alberta, Canada one summer, using one of those towed stacking trailers that was pulled by the baler, talk about dusty, whew! And in 90+ degree heat, too.

Since fall is but two days away, and the temps are soon to decline, I'd order the cab equipped tractor now, to get your name on the list, and keep on using what you have now, renting if necessary until your new unit comes in this spring.

You migth need both. Do you plan on adding a backhoe? As you problably know, that is not compatible with the cab version. If you can wait, I would. Seeing that a cab 4720 was going got me modivated to look at cabs. I ended up keeping my 4720 and added a 5525 with a cab. There are things I like better about each of them. I suspect I migth add a 448 backhoe and the HST is easier to use at times than the power reverser.

Does he have a used tractor or something you can buy for now and get guranteed trade in towards a cab model while you wait?
