I originally started this as a PM to SteveH CT but then discovered I could not attach photos. So Steve, or anyone else out there with a 48 BH mounted on a 4310 can you take some measurements for me?

As I have posted before, I have a 4310 on order with, among other things, power beyond so that I can use my neighbor's 48 BH. I know I need to add mounting plates to the 4310 but I have also found out that the adapter frames on the BH are different for the mid and large frame tractors.

I checked JDparts and there is a difference in the appearance of the bracket. AM127743 for the 4300 and AM127742 for the 4600. It looks like the 4600 brackets are longer in that they move the boom pivot point further away from the tractor. This would make sense with the larger rear tire diameter. I may still be able to use my neighbor's BH. It would sit further from the tractor (more stress?)

I'll use photos to show what measurements I am looking for. The first one is for the length of the side bracket, from the inside edge of the mounting flange (left of photo) to the end of the plate (right of photo). The 4600 bracket measures about 21.5 inches.

I'll send 3 more photos in subsequent posts.

Thanks,

Jeff

Third photo measures the vertical distance of the side plate. From the top down to where the plate angles aft. Approx. 17.5"

And finally the horizontal distance between the two upper "hooks". Outside dimension of the black painted parts.

If I can get my daughter to bed I'll try to get some measurements tonight /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif - if not I'll get it tomorrow. Maybe someone in another timezone and more daylight can get it to you sooner!

Take Care,

You will have to change your user ID to "4310inNY". Doesn't sound quite right. It'll take some getting used to. I can understand the change to a newer, bigger....much bigger machine, but I'm sorry to see an x55 owner cash in the chips.

Good luck with your new machine.

Thanks OkieG. Don't look at it as cashing in the chips. The tractor will live on and there will be a new x55 owner out there. I'm going to keep my user name. I'll never forget my first CUT.

Ok - got out there with a flashlight and got a few measurements - My measurement on your 1st pic was about 16 1/2" when measured as you did.. It was 27" to the rops, and 21" to the center of the 3pt assist.

Compare to your 2nd pic - My measurement was about the same on this one. I managed to get what looks like a part number off of mine - Try this BM19566.
