I originally started this as a PM to SteveH CT but then discovered I could not attach photos. So Steve, or anyone else out there with a 48 BH mounted on a 4310 can you take some measurements for me?
As I have posted before, I have a 4310 on order with, among other things, power beyond so that I can use my neighbor's 48 BH. I know I need to add mounting plates to the 4310 but I have also found out that the adapter frames on the BH are different for the mid and large frame tractors.
I checked JDparts and there is a difference in the appearance of the bracket. AM127743 for the 4300 and AM127742 for the 4600. It looks like the 4600 brackets are longer in that they move the boom pivot point further away from the tractor. This would make sense with the larger rear tire diameter. I may still be able to use my neighbor's BH. It would sit further from the tractor (more stress?)
I'll use photos to show what measurements I am looking for. The first one is for the length of the side bracket, from the inside edge of the mounting flange (left of photo) to the end of the plate (right of photo). The 4600 bracket measures about 21.5 inches.
I'll send 3 more photos in subsequent posts.
Thanks,
Jeff
