48 Degree temp drop since 10 PM last night

Gotta love Oklahoma weather. Yesterday I was wearing shorts and a T-shirt while working on smoothing up our gravel road. It was 79 degrees and sunny. At 6 AM this morning it was 31 degrees with 30 MPH wind and 40+ MPH gusts out of the north, blowing light sleet. Glad I got the road work done yesterday! Oklahoma weather isn't always nice, but it's never boring.

Well, that sweep of cold Canadian air is getting a lot of attention from everyone all the way back up to Washington State and beyond. I just wish it would bring a couple of inches of rain, but if I get a quarter-inch I'll feel lucky.

And we here in the Bluegrass thank you for sending your warm weather this way. It was in the mid-30s and raining yesterday. Today we're already up to 64 and should hit close to 70 before the day is over.

Of course, the cold weather is forecast to return tomorrow....

You're welcome, 3B. Just don't get used to it, LOL. The good part is ground temps are still so high here that no matter what falls it won't be there long. The older I get the less I enjoy winter weather, I guess. Turned 69 yesterday, and already some things like knuckles and knees hurt that didn't last year. Old man Arthritis is slowly creeping up on me.

Know how you feel.. we have been so dry for so long. we finally got over an inch last night and still some drizzle this morning, But boy is it getting cold!.. last evening when I came in from work it was so nice, now it is pretty raw here in southwest Mo.

In KCMO, it dropped from 58 yesterday at 5pm to 20 last night. Glad I got everything winterized...

Here in E Washington we passed the worst of it yesterday. Down to -18 and -1 past two nights. Had blizzard conditions with roads closed Tuesday. spent several hours blowing 1 1/2 ft snow (drifted) off my drive and wished my 10 hp blower had another 10hp to use . All the way up to the teens for high today.

May run out in the boonies where I cut a locust grove last sumer to see if that road is plowed. Need to get back in there to burn my brush piles. I don't like to burn when there is no snow on the ground.
