Hello everyone,

I think the leading edge of my edge Cyrus deck at the discharge open is bent rearward. You can see the angle in the attached picture. Does anyone know, or can provide the dimension that can be checked to confirm? If it is bent, is there a way to straighten it?

I've noticed that I've had to set the gauge wheel to a different pin out from right to left and this could be why. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bobby

Looks like the deck on my mower. I've had it 23 years but have taken a large pipe wrench to it countless time to straighten it. Also have welded cracks on it and beefed up the pulley system a lot. Steel doesn't look very thick so best get a good, 24" pipe wrench.

The bend comes from hitting objects with the right front gauge wheel, where the deck has to take the force. I continually bent mine back straight until I finally made a fix that seems to be working real well.
Pics here show the strap steel link on top (I don't like the one across the exit chute as it catches grass and makes clumps).
