I've got a 4820C with 2 rear remotes.

Is there a kit or a way to add a 3rd remote?

Factory one, I don't think so.

You can, however add an hydraulic valve with how many sections you want. It will require so fabrication of brackets and what not, plus the controls may or may not be in a convenient place.

Another option would be an hydraulic multiplier. Essentially a solenoid valve that diverts the flow from a set of remotes to various other outputs.

@MtnViewRanch sells those and may advise you the best route.

So looking at page 193/194 of the parts manual:

The 2 oem valves just stack. It seems like there is "probably" enough room to stack another one on top (part #'s on page 194). You'd need a longer set of bolts for tying it all together and I'm not sure if the incoming port would quite reach so that might be a problem as well (you could replace that line... but that can get tricky as well). The hard part (assuming enough space and ability to connect the input port) there would be figuring out how to run a linkage up for controlling it as the penetration into the cab is designed for 2 and the internal spot for the control handles is also designed for 2... So you'd have to basically manufacture something for that as well.

It *might* still be tidier than another set of valves stuck on the tractor somewhere else but I'm not entirely sure about that.

You can get pretty decent pre-made valve blocks and valve block components from surplus center or summit hydraulics which wouldn't be to hard to plumb into the loop as well although as ptsg noted that also requires some design and fabrication for mounting and access.

With most cab tractors, diverters are the way to go IMO. No linkage to figure out, just mount a control grip on your existing control lever for controlling the diverter-s. If you want, you can control 4 functions without ever removing your hand from the control lever.

My little TYM, had holes in the factory loader handle to add three switches, which were covered with a vinyl sticker. It was a bit hard finding momentary pushbutton switches to fit the 7-mm holes, that were small enough to fit in the handle. But did eventually find some on eBay.

They are sitting in a box where I have a set of three stacked diverter valves, they eventually will control. Now all I have to do is find time to put the whole set up together and on the tractor.
