4WD (dis)engagement lever?

In my dream
4wd would be tap is down for on until you tap it again for off.
Are you listening Kubota? lol

Thinking about extending the lever up to a more comfortable hand operating position...same with the E brake.
What is up with the hand levers on the floor Kubota ???

Lots of manufacturers put the lever down there for some reason. What's even more confusing is that often the smaller tractors (SCUTs) have the lever near the range lever, making very nice and easy to use. Why do they change that on the CUTs, where they actually have a lot more space to work with?

Here is mine. I'm actually thinking on making a vertical extension to the lever so it's easier to use.

The diff lock is spring loaded....
You are correct… I was alluding to not having to reach down with my hand to activating the diff lock… that would be just as inconvenient as having to reach down to raise the 4WD lever…

I've been thinking about raising the 2wd/4wd and the E brake release levers. My concern is that they are positioned just opposite from each other. I'm worrying they will be in the way of getting on and off the tractor.
