Picked this up at an auction for 5 bucks. JD lists it for low $40s. Here's some info and pics. 14 strokes to get one quart. (pretty time consuming!).

JD PN 05075. Over 50 inches of hose reach. But the big surprise is 2 pail adaptors, (1-US, 1-Canadian) Who would ever think that the pails would be different? I doubt this will be my 'GO TO TOOL' for adding 6 gallons of oil.

B58Hustler not to change to subject, I couldn't help but notice your pavers. Do you get any snow where you are, and if so are the pavers any problem during snow removal?

Those pavers have been down since 2007 and snow removal has always been with a snowblower with the skid shoes set with a 1/4" gap. Have never hooked a corner of paver yet in a 26x52 foot paved area. These are also on the North side of the garage where the sun doesn't hit pavement until 24 feet out from the garage. Cars are moved everyday so no wheel-track settling either. The success for this is due to the contractor digging out over 2 feet of existing material, putting in 8" of drainage stone, fabric, processed gravel, 5-ton vibe compaction, fabric, 2" of sand, pavers and more sand hand-vibed in all directions. The pix show the depth and base materials.

Thanks, but does that imply that if you don't move your vehicles around daily you would have depressions in your parking area?

Yes, that's what I was told would happen during the freeze/thaw cycles of winter.

Yeah, they're expensive... JD is not reknown for offering up "inexpensive" or "value for less" products!

I figured the savings from using 5 gallon containers versus quart or gallon containers to be considerable over the course of a year. With 3 tractors, 2 diesel trucks and 2 gas autos - lawn tractor, lawn mower, ATV - 30 gallons of oil is the norm for a year.

And servicing the hydraulic systems for my newest tractors is around 15 gallons each (after the initial 400 hour drain - I plan to change out at 800 hour intervals).

So, 5 gallon pails are sitting on the floor next to my parts bin - with the pumps.
