5' Rotary Mower on a 424 OK?

I’d wager that the YT235 would even be a better fit for a 5ft rotary cutter. Mowing through thick lush grass can tax even high horsepower tractors, and sub-20hp at the PTO is on the low end for a 5ft mower. Of course, with HST you can go as slow as you need to, so horsepower isn’t as important.

I know that 5 hp is enough for a 20" blade on a push mower, so 15hp should be good for 3 times that, 60". this is, of course, not on very high grass..
