I gotta dis agree with a lot of you guys, around here a lot of people use old mobile home trailers for hauling hay and ag stuff. I bought a 60 footer for $300 a couple of years ago, cut it down to 20' over the axels, re-attached the tongue where I wanted it and reclaimed the extra cross members for reinforcing and decked it with some rough sawn I had. I haul 5 ton of hay with it all the time, short trips, farm exempt from registration and inspections. A lot of guys set them up to haul round bales, you can usually get a decent farm trailer for $600 to $800 bucks, parts are easy to find (all you guys are throwing them away anyways). Just saying they do have there place and use, other than scrap. I have 1 that's well over 20 years old and I don't remember it ever needing more than tires and maybe bearings, I have 3 all together and 2 came from the same trailer frame, just added a couple extra axels and a tongue I bought from a take off when they were setting up a new trailer. I know I don't have $2000 in all 3 together.
