Today was the 50 hour engine and trans oil change. Two things to be aware of if you have not done yours yet, B2x20's. First, some sumo wannabe put the filters on with an impact wrench so get yourself a good filter wrench, a strap wrench was really tough to use but do able. Second, the engine drain plug is located directly over the FEL cross member so not only is it hard to reach, the oil drains into the middle of the cross member and then runs in all directions. Get a big drain pan. Otherwise it wasn't too bad. I used TSC universal hyd. oil and the transmission is very quite and the 3pt goes up and down very smoothly so I guess it OK. Time will tell.

"Some sum wannabe put on the filter with an impact wrench"

I did my 50 hour service a couple of weekd ago and had to go out and get a filter plier to get the oil filter off. Man, it was on there good. I had the cap style oil filter remover and it just kept slipping on the filter.

I've read that at the factory they rarely put oil around the seal, so that might be the reason the filters are tought to get off. Haven't done my 50hr yet, but
thanks for the headsup on the tough filters.

Same here with my BX2350. I had to drive a screwdriver through the tranny filter to get it off. Funny story about this though. My 11 year old daughter was coming out to ask me a question while I was doing this. I never knew she was around, being under the tractor. She went back in and told my wife, "he's laying under the tractor cussin' so I'll ask later"

That's funny.

I just did my second oil change on my B3030 this past weekend. I had the dealer do the 50 hr service last year and go through the tractor to make sure there was no issues. This year I figured I would do the oil/filter change myself. I was very impressed with how easy the front panels come off to provide access to all sides of the engine. Kubota definately did it right. The oil change went very quickly. Only problem I had was I overfilled the oil and had to drain some out . I won't make that mistake again. The air filter change also is very quick with just some latches that hold the cover on.

I used this - AdvanceAutoParts carries it.
Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck 5W-40

Full synthetic. The dealer used dino oil for the first oil change so I figured all of the parts have broken in by now.
